As spring meanders into summer, warmer days arrive. Snow melt fills the rivers, and Yang energy rises daily to its peak. With invitation from San Francisco Public Health Department, Bodhi Meditation San Francisco Energy Bagua team came to the National AIDS Memorial at Golden Gate Park to do a demo for a group of SFPHD employees as part of their half day retreat before Memorial Day weekend.

This group of employees included social worker specialists, psychologist, marriage family therapist and licensed clinical social workers. The social work specialists work with some of the city’s most vulnerable and impoverished groups, and as a result can experience a great deal of stress. This half day retreat aimed to provide a relaxing meditative experience that can help with work stress management and provide rejuvenation. Bodhi Meditation has been providing free nightly meditation for city employees, and naturally became a top choice for facilitating a part of this retreat.

Gathering beneath trees in the grove, we happily greeted one another.

In this lovely secluded natural space, on a beautiful sunny and breezy day, we walked Energy Bagua together and felt renewed.

Our Energy Bagua demo came to a happy conclusion. We hope that more city employees can benefit from Energy Bagua. As one of the participants remarked: Energy Bagua is both calming and energizing.
